Indoor use and detail
Start with PLA Basic when you need stiffness, detail and predictable production.
Material library
PLA Basic, PLA Matte and PETG HF suit different needs. Compare appearance, stiffness, impact, heat and moisture before the final recommendation.
01 — 05
Relative scales for comparison within this library; they do not replace a technical data sheet or testing of the actual part.
Start with PLA Basic when you need stiffness, detail and predictable production.
Choose PLA Matte when the priority is lower gloss and visually softer layer lines.
PETG HF often offers a useful balance, but it is not presented as a solution for prolonged sun or weather exposure.
No currently offered material is presented as a solution for this exposure; the project must be reviewed before any commitment.
A clean finish, good stiffness and consistent production for detailed parts, prototypes and indoor items.
Smooth surface with a slight sheen; layer lines remain visible at close range.
Rigid and dimensionally stable in normal indoor use, but it can deform with heat and fracture under a hard impact.
Avoid where there is significant heat, continuous sunlight, repeated impact or a specific regulatory requirement.
Suitable for a single item or repeat runs; colour, orientation and finish are confirmed in the quotation.
A matte look and fine texture for visual objects where reduced gloss and less noticeable layer lines are preferred.
Matte with a fine texture and visually softened layer lines; the actual colour can vary with lighting and batch.
Similar to PLA Basic for indoor use and chosen mainly for its appearance; it should not be assumed to be mechanically superior.
Avoid when impact, heat or outdoor resistance is the priority, or when a completely smooth surface without post-processing is required.
Useful for one-offs and small visual runs. Colour availability is always confirmed before production.
A functional balance of toughness, impact resistance and moisture tolerance for general-purpose technical parts.
Smooth, matte texture with a more even sheen than conventional PETG; support marks and orientation still depend on the geometry.
Tougher than PLA and moisture tolerant, with some flex. It may suit sheltered, non-critical outdoor use after assessment, but is not presented as a solution for prolonged UV or weather exposure.
Avoid if the part will remain in continuous sun, sit near high heat, or requires food-contact or medical certification.
Suitable for one-offs and functional runs after orientation, fit and finish have been assessed.
